This role ensures our systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and built to support a fast-growing, multi-unit restaurant company. You’ll partner closely with leaders across Operations, Finance, HR, Marketing, and the Support Center to understand business needs, implement integrated systems, and ensure technology enables—not slows down—our teams in the field. From POS and networks to enterprise systems and analytics, this role balances long-term strategy with practical, day-to-day execution.  What You’ll Do Lead the overall IT strategy, ensuring technology supports company growth, operational efficiency, and an exceptional guest experience Own and optimize Mo’ Bettahs’ core technology platforms, including PAR Brink (POS), Craftable (back-office, purchasing, inventory), Sage Intacct, Microsoft/Azure, and Power BI Oversee system integrations across POS, ERP, inventory, scheduling/timekeeping, business intelligence, and data platforms to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable information Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and network infrastructure across restaurant locations and the support center, including POS terminals, computers, firewalls, access points, and switches Establish and maintain a strong cybersecurity posture, leveraging tools such as Sophos, while developing policies and best practices to protect company data, systems, and restaurant operations Partner with internal teams to understand technology needs, recommend solutions, and continuously improve systems and processes Lead, develop, and mentor a growing IT team, fostering accountability, technical excellence, and a service-oriented mindset Implement tools and processes to plan work, track progress, and deliver projects on time and within scope Act as a calm, solutions-focused leader during system incidents, outages, or high-pressure situations Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and implementation partners  What You’ll Bring 5–8 years of progressive experience in senior IT roles, including at least 3 years leading and developing an IT team Experience supporting multi-unit, restaurant, or retail operations preferred Strong working knowledge of restaurant technologies, including POS systems, online ordering, store-level networking, and enterprise platforms Hands-on understanding of hardware setup and troubleshooting in a field-based environment Demonstrated experience managing cybersecurity tools, policies, and risk mitigation in a distributed business Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously Proven problem-solver who remains calm, decisive, and accountable under pressure Excellent organizational, time-management, and execution skills Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts into practical solutions for non-technical partners Customer- and operations-focused mindset—technology should make teams’ jobs easier, faster, and more reliable Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed to support restaurant locations  Working Conditions This role requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively. The position may involve sitting or standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, and navigating restaurant and office environments. Travel by car or air may be required.
