Full-Time | $28-$33/hour | Benefits | Paid Time Off
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with some occasional evening and weekend hours
Byrnes Property Management Group is looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our residential and commercial properties safe, clean, and running smoothly. This is a field-based role with daily travel between properties. Primarily in Central Massachusetts, with some locations in Connecticut and other parts of Massachusetts. If you take pride in good work and can handle a variety of repairs, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do- Complete repairs and maintenance work orders across our properties
- Handle general repairs, including:
- Basic plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixture replacements)
- Basic electrical (outlets, switches, lighting)
- Carpentry (doors, trim, drywall repairs)
- Appliance troubleshooting
- Painting, patchwork, and cosmetic repairs
- Conduct unit turnovers, including full cleaning prep, lock changes, flooring, painting, and fixture updates.
- Keep properties clean inside and out, including trash and debris removal
- Install and remove real estate signs as needed
- Handle seasonal tasks like shoveling, plowing, salting, storm prep, and mowing
- 1–3 years of maintenance, handyman, or similar experience (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of general home repairs and building systems.
- Must supply basic hand tools
- Valid driver's license and reliable
- Must have a reliable smartphone for communication and time tracking
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather
- A dependable self-starter who can handle the job independently in the field
- Available for occasional evening and weekend work
