The Opportunity-
MB Consultants PLLC is seeking a seasonal part-time administrative assistant to join our team in our Monticello, MN office. You will work directly with our professional staff, office manager and other administrative staff in order to assist with the processing of tax returns, perform scanning and verification of tax information, assist with drafting of client correspondence, greet clients and answer phone calls to receptionist back-up. This position we are looking for would include 20-40 hours per week Monday through Friday, until 4/15/26. With our main office in Monticello and a significant presence in Sartell and Elk River, we are a well-established and respected firm in the area. We provide professional services to our clients, with emphasis on income tax and estate-succession planning and compliance services. Our clients represent a wide range of medium to small sized family-owned or privately-held businesses, as well as individuals, trusts and estates.
The Individual-
We are looking for an individual who is personable, organized, appreciates a challenge, desires to help others and wants to learn. Applicants must have well developed computer skills and strong attention to detail. There is potential for future growth within the firm for an individual with accounting and tax backgrounds or desire to acquire skills in accounting and tax.
Responsibilities include
· Processing of tax returns and financial statements
· Preparation of client correspondence and mailings
· Reception coverage and greeting clients upon their arrival in the office
· Filing
· Answering and routing of phone calls
· Preparation of items for mailing, including UPS and certified mail options
· Scheduling client meetings
· Set up video conferences
· Miscellaneous data entry
· Assistance with maintaining and monitoring the project tracking system
· Work in a confidential manner in respect to client and employee data
· Maintain and monitor professional staff schedules
· Scanning for electronic storage and verification of tax data
· Assist professionals with Microsoft Word, Excel and other office software
