Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor the Electrical Engineering Design Team in developing innovative electrical systems that meet customer specs and align with industry standards.
- Partner with the Mechanical Engineering Manager to coordinate and finalize crane designs before production release.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate new technologies, components, and processes to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Ensure quality and reliability through robust electrical testing and validation.
- Support production teams by developing tools and systems that streamline workflows and enhance responsiveness.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, NEC/NFPA, CMAA, and all relevant codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with Project Management to meet customer delivery schedules and resolve technical challenges.
- Keep current with emerging technologies, standards, and best practices through continuous learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field); equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven leadership experience in industrial or crane electrical design.
- Working knowledge of CMAA, UL, NEC/NFPA, CE, and OSHA standards.
- Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and other PLC platforms.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and 3-phase power systems (Delta & Wye).
- Familiarity with sensory technologies (Laser, Radar, LIDAR, Ultrasonic, Vision systems, etc.).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- PE license preferred; ability to work at elevated heights required.
