Stock Room Clerk

Performs various functions related to the accurate and timely receipt, stocking, and issuing of various components in support of our manufacturing operations. Also includes activities related to verifying inventory accuracy within our operation.

• Receipt of Product – Includes material verification from both internal operations and outside vendors, recording of receipt on paper/electronic documents, updating our computer records, and the put-away of product to the proper storage location.
• Issue of Product – Includes removal of components from stocking location, and movement of items to correct work center for further processing. Includes recording activities on paper/electronic documents and updating our computer records as needed.
• Cycle Count- Assist in the process of verifying our inventory investment, including physical counts, system updates, review of variances.
• Material Movement – Includes activities related to receipt & issuing product, but also includes unloading of trucks, and organizational activities within the workplace. May include operation of Forklifts, hand carts and other lifting tools as needed. Would also include update of computer records
• Packaging – Assists as needed activities related to preparing products for shipment to our customer. May include boxing or palletizing products.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Requires solid verbal communication skills
• Requires ability to follow process as instructed
• Requires ability to assist others as needed and request assistance as needed
• General PC literacy is required
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined.
• Must be able to adapt to changes in work priority throughout the day
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify

Education

A high school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plus

Experience & Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure and scale ruler
• Experience using power tools (drills, impact gun, arbor presses and pneumatics)
• Trouble shooting experience
• Use of standard SAE handtools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required
• Basic math skills are required
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
