What are the responsibilities and job description for the In House Inspector/Repair Technician position at Mazzella Companies and Careers?
Position Summary
The In-House Inspector/Repair Technician will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of customers’ manual hoists, and related lifting equipment that is returned to our facility. This role ensures that all equipment meets safety regulations and operational requirements to prevent downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
· Job Duties
· Inspect items as directed, determine if items pass or fail, document/submit appropriate report(s) as required
· Produce all varieties of predetermined inspections, without instruction, to meet or exceed the Company’s Quality Assurance Standards
· Move and handle material as required to complete inspection
· Complete daily paperwork accurately and completely, i.e. inspection reports and bill of material requirements
· Report defective or substandard material or products to Sales Team
· Document all inspection findings, repairs performed, and parts used in a detailed maintenance management system to maintain a complete equipment history.
· Conduct load testing and functional tests after major repairs to verify equipment safety and performance.
· Identify and report any safety hazards or non-compliant equipment to management immediately.
· Maintain an organized inventory of critical spare parts to minimize equipment downtime. Maintain equipment is in a clean and orderly condition; follow all Safety Guidelines.

Education
A high school diploma or GED is required; trade school or military experience a plus
Experience & Skills
· Experience in a service, inspection, or production environment is a plus
· A working knowledge of manufacturers and industry standards, including ANSI and OSHA, is a plus but will train the right candidate meeting our cultural requirements
· Certified inspector a plus but will train the right candidate meeting our cultural requirements
· Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
· Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required
· Overall basic IT/PC/Technology literacy a plus but willing to train
· Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
· Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
