Position Summary

The HR Generalist performs professional level human resources functions and carries out responsibilities in one or more functional areas, such as, staffing/recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, compensation, leaves and benefits.  The HR Generalist will play a critical role in ensuring the Company is utilizing HR technology efficiently and effectively.

 

Job Duties

·         Assists in interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions

·         Conduct or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications

·         Performs at an expert level user of HR technologies – HRIS (UKG)

·         Coordinates new hire orientation

·         Manage Employee Engagement, creating and updating budget, oversee events and activities

·         Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development

·         Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff

·         Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

·         Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance

·         Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

·         Other duties as assigned

Education

An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline; in the absence of a degree, directly-related job experience serving in an HR Generalist role, where a number of years and proven knowledge may offset the degree requirement

 

Experience & Skills

·         At least three years of HR Generalist experience preferred

·         SHRM certification a plus

·         Through knowledge of employment laws and regulations, Colorado and California experience is beneficial

·         Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

·         Ability to prioritize tasks

·         Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

·         Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required

·         Overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required

·         Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task

·         Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
