About the Position
This position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. As a 1st Shift Production Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating production machine tools, ensuring high-quality products meet specifications.
Responsibilities
- Work from assembly drawings and specifications to produce parts that meet quality standards.
- Select and align dies in presses according to specifications, positioning work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.
- Start presses and observe operations to detect misalignment or malfunction, regulating air pressure and oil pressure as needed.
- Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications and adjust machines to correct errors.
- Packaging parts in appropriate containers, cleaning and lubricating machines to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Requirements
- Three plus months of related experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrated detail-orientation, self-motivation skills, and ability to multi-task.
- LEADS BY EXAMPLE and promotes and supports safety and other management objectives.
