Position Summary:
Die Setter is responsible for retrieving tooling and setting tooling and dies in press. The Die Setter will use check card and master sample for specifications to accurately make test part and inspect. When necessary die setter will make adjustments to ensure quality then green tag first good part. Die setter will verify product quality by inspection and measuring equipment
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow safety and environmental procedures
- Come to work every day, on time as scheduled
- Proficient communication skills
- Accurately read and use quality tools to ensure quality parts. Compare parts to check card and master sample to ensure they meet standards and specifications to verify product quality
- Use computer to enter part information/inventory in ERP system
- Setup and program equipment
- Operate press
- Execute scheduling board
- Operate drill press as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, understand and follow directions on Inspection cards to ensure quality
- Ability to use quality inspection equipment
- Proficient and basic math and computer skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge
