Application Administrator
Responsible for the administration of business enterprise applications. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting applications, as well as managing user access and ensuring data security. Coordinates with other teams like developers, network engineers, and technical support to optimize application performance and resolve issues.
Job Responsibilities
- Administers and maintains enterprise applications.
- Ensures application availability, performance, and compliance with internal service level agreements (SLAs) and security policies.
- Manages user roles, permissions, and access controls using tools like Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Collaborates with vendors and internal teams on upgrades, patches, and integrations.
- Monitors application logs and performance metrics; proactively identifies and resolves issues.
- Documents configurations, workflows, and change management activities.
- Supports onboarding/offboarding processes and application provisioning.
- Participates in audits, risk assessments, and incident response related to application security.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, software applications, and networking concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in managing cloud-based and on-premises applications.
- Familiarity with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent education and experience.
Experience Requirements
- Three years of experience in IT, preferably in application administration or systems administration/support.
