We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting a team of technicians to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Tasks:
- Supervise and support a team of maintenance technicians across multiple shifts
- Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance activities to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues in a manufacturing environment (including extrusion machinery)
- Ensure preventative maintenance programs are executed effectively
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including repairs, PMs, and service reports
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work with external vendors and service providers as needed
- Enforce safety standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) compliance
- Assist in training and development of maintenance team members
- Other tasks as assigned
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Regular and punctual attendance, with ability to work long hours or irregular schedules, including evenings or weekends as needed
- In-person interactions and effective teamwork in a production environment
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and maintain stability during physical tasks
- Exposure to conditions typical of a production environment (e.g., heat, cold)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure while managing multiple tasks
- Ability to review and comprehend documents, use computers or tablets for extended periods, and view monitors comfortably
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to see and hear, with or without correction
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience supporting or leading teams in a multi-shift production environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, or controls)
- Experience working with outside vendors and managing maintenance inventory
- Solid understanding of state and federal safety regulations and best practices (including Lock-Out/Tag-Out)
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and maintenance-related systems
- Willingness and ability to support multiple shifts as needed
- Any other tasks assigned as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience
- Experience with PLCs, controls, or robotics
- Experience with maintenance and production systems such as Vorne, Maintenance Pro, and UKG Ready
- Experience in extrusion or similar continuous manufacturing processes
