Job Duties
- Install and service vehicle lifts, including 2-post and 4-post hoists.
- Install, diagnose, and repair various types of shop equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
- Follow proper procedures to identify the cause of equipment problems.
- Test equipment after installation or repair and make necessary adjustments.
- Prepare equipment for delivery and installation, including partial preassembly of lifts and other equipment.
- Inspect equipment to ensure all necessary parts and components are accounted for before installation.
- Safely load, transport, unload, and position equipment at customer locations.
- Ensure vehicle lifts are properly installed, secured, leveled, and tested according to manufacturer specifications.
- Accurately document and report installation and service work in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for company tools and equipment.
- Communicate professionally with customers and address questions or concerns regarding equipment.
- Present yourself in a professional manner at all times.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical school or mechanical training is a plus.
- Mechanical experience required; experience installing vehicle lifts or automotive shop equipment preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow installation instructions, diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ability to work independently in the field with limited supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.
- Willingness and ability to comply with company safety requirements and maintain safe working habits.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, work overhead, bend, kneel, and climb.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
- Flexibility to work overtime hours as needed.
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
