Position Summary:

The Clinical Director oversees and ensures the quality, integrity, and compliance of all clinical services at Mayrx Recovery. This role provides leadership, supervision, and guidance to the clinical team while maintaining alignment with evidence-based practices, harm reduction principles, and person-centered care. The Clinical Director plays a key role in fostering a compassionate, professional, and compliant treatment environment consistent with Mayrx Recovery’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Oversight

  • Provide leadership and direction for all clinical operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and support therapists, case managers, and clinical staff, including regular supervision, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Promote an inclusive, therapeutic, and respectful culture across all levels of care.

Clinical Program Management

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programming and treatment modalities consistent with evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Ensure documentation and treatment plans meet regulatory, payer, and internal quality standards.
  • Lead case reviews, treatment team meetings, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Support individualized, recovery-oriented, and harm reduction–informed approaches to care.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and insurance requirements (e.g., DHHS, CMS, JACHO).
  • Oversee clinical audits, chart reviews, and corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Executive Director to ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality laws (HIPAA).

Staff Development & Support

  • Provide clinical supervision (as credentialed) and mentorship to licensed and unlicensed clinicians.
  • Support training and education initiatives that promote professional growth and program excellence.
  • Address performance and conduct issues constructively, upholding a culture of accountability and compassion.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with medical, operational, and administrative teams to ensure integrated, whole-person care.
  • Communicate effectively with external partners, referral sources, and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • LCAS required.
  • Independent clinical licensure in North Carolina (LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment models, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Demonstrated understanding of harm reduction and person-centered recovery approaches.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with payer requirements, audits, and documentation standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
