Mayo Manufacturing is currently seeking to fill the following position:
Accounting Assistant
Mayo Manufacturing is seeking an outstanding Accounting Assistant to assist in day-to-day functions. Must be able to professionally interact with high-profile clients and sales representatives by phone and email, requiring proficient verbal skills and a professional speaking voice. Must have demonstrated experience working with a high degree of accuracy, as well as maintaining an organized portfolio.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Entering data for new customers and their payment methods
- Collect outstanding/overdue invoices, post payments into ledger
- Help resolve vendor inquires; Communicate with Purchasing Managers
- Process AR payments, release credit holds, post and voucher payments, prepare bank deposit
- Prepare packing lists and bill of ladings for outgoing trucks
- Answer phones, transfer calls, assist walk-ins, as needed
- Assist CFO, Customer Service or Human Resources, as needed
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Desire 2-5 years experience in Accounts Payable/ Receivable (or equivalent experience and/or skill level)
HOURS
Hours of operation are 8:00a or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour or 30-minute lunch, respectively
PAY
Starting at $18/hr
