Mayne Attraction Studios (MAS) has been serving families in the Greater Cleveland area since 2013, offering holistic dance instruction in a welcoming environment from experienced staff. We aim to be the dance family you’ve always wanted — and we’re growing! We’re seeking an energetic, organized, and passionate team member who can shine as a dance instructor.
About the Position:
The Preschool Dance Instructor will teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes that introduce children to movement, rhythm, coordination, and classroom structure while making learning fun. We are seeking someone who can be creative and offer a positive first dance experience that encourages confidence, imagination, and a lifelong love of dance.
This position is perfect for someone who loves teaching dance to young children. You’ll inspire students in the classroom teaching beginner level classes in genres like Ballet, Acro, Hip Hop, and Tap. Applicants can expect to complete approximately 2-3 hours of teaching each week (Sunday afternoons and weeknights).
What You’ll Do:
- Teach weekly preschool dance classes for ages 2–6.
- Instruct beginner Ballet/Tap combo class and/or Acro/Hip Hop combo class (training provided for our curriculum if needed).
- Develop fun, structured lesson plans that keep young dancers engaged.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Communicate professionally with parents before and after class.
- Prepare students for studio performances and showcases.
- Work collaboratively with studio leadership and fellow instructors.
- Arrive on time, organized, and ready to teach.
- Support marketing, open houses, and community events.
- Assist with showcase logistics (costumes, volunteer coordination, backstage support).
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years of experience teaching dance technique and choreography.
- Experience working with children ages 2–6.
- Strong communication, organization, and people skills.
- Positive attitude, patience, and strong classroom management skills.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Comfortable following systems and contributing ideas to improve them.
- Bonus: Dance-related degree or experience teaching multiple genres.
