Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and develop personalized care plans.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses across age groups, utilizing evidence-based practices and clinical protocols.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, IV infusions, blood collection, and basic wound care.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate care
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Tebra for accurate documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, medication administration, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications.
Experience
- Proven experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with a focus on primary care or acute care environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and coding accuracy.
- Hands-on experience performing procedures including suturing, IV insertion/infusion, and lab collection
- Strong understanding of medical terminology (ICD coding/ICD-10), CPT coding standards, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance to ensure high-quality patient care and documentation standards.
