What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Workers 1st and 2nd shift openings position at Mayhew Tools?
Deerfield Packaging is looking to employ Warehouse Workers to work in its order fulfillment and shipping departments.
Shift differential for 2nd shift not included in the pay range.
Job Characteristics
Perform order fulfillment per instruction and customer demand
Fulfill various order types, such as expedited orders, out of stock orders, back orders and exported orders
Take pick ticket to bin location, select required item in correct quantity and deliver to packing station
Provide quality assurance as final point of contact with tool before delivery
Follow specific and tight timetables for fulfillment and delivery
Apply UPC codes to all tools that require labeling
Fulfill additional customer specified packaging requirements, such as generating packing slips, bubble wrapping shipments, navigating web-based portals, etc.
Required Skills
Keen memory in regards to warehouse layout and inventory levels
Able to multitask on-the-go to respond to expedited orders or react to out of stock orders
Work quickly while balancing a high level of accuracy
Close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Written and verbal English communication skills
Collaborate effectively and work well in a team
Strict attention to safety procedures and guidelines including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE)
Willingness to keep and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Punctual and able to adhere to attendance policy
Required Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education/Experience
Familiarity with ShopVue (inventory management), Macola (ERP) or Nice Labels
Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial facility
