Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and kitchen area.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as needed.
- Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring efficiency and safety.
- Participate in catering events as required, contributing to meal preparation and serving.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Grill Cook or similar position within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of dietary department practices, including dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
- Excellent food handling skills with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable.
