Job Overview
We are a produce distribution company and were seeking a skilled Warehouse Worker Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing materials, and ensuring efficient warehouse distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with order picking, shipping and receiving, and warehouse management systems, with a strong focus on safety and mechanical knowledge. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping & receiving operations, including inventory management and documentation
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment and report any mechanical issues for maintenance
- Support warehouse distribution activities, including load & unload operations and order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes and clamp trucks
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with construction or industrial environments is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is advantageous but not required
