Job Description
We are looking for a warehouse worker operator to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing and loading orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocates orders to a holding area.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Record items received or distributed.
- Prepare parcels for delivery.
- Maintain and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED plus three months or more related experience and/or training.
- One year of warehouse experience preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
The employee is occasionally required to climb on ladders for items. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to withstand riding in cab of truck with and without load, must be able to grasp handle and pull self into a position to climb into the truck cab and bed multiple times per day.
