Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Richcrest, 540 Richcrest Dr, Houston, TX, 77060
Job Description:
An excellent maintenance supervisor must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and detail-oriented. Must be a self-starter, organized, capable of multi-tasking, be a good problem solver and be able to prioritize workloads. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks will also be essential. The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Perform specific carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry, and appliance repairs
- Coordinate activities of employees and outside contractors
- Direct employees and outside contractors with renovations and structural repairs
- Obtain bids for work from outside contractors
- Supervise and approve all work performed at the site by outside contractors
- Conduct regular safety meetings with maintenance staff
- Establish and document preventative maintenance programs
- Create and maintain a positive work environment for staff
Requirements:
- HVAC State Certified
- Complete and pass the Fair Housing Test
- Valid state driver's license
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise the maintenance employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, safety standards, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
