The Analyst II: Financial Technology Process is responsible for developing the Global Financial Technology & Strategy team's best practices for workflow management, process engineering and optimization, and the technology and operational tactics used in streamlining the team's offerings to its clients. The incumbent for this role will be a key member of the team and use his/her skillset to design, build, and deliver data-driven strategies which will build the foundation for the team to scale its capabilities in a high-demand and high-growth environment. The incumbent will liaise with other members of the Global Financial Technology & Strategy team, as well as members and stakeholders of the global Finance & Accounting organization and other Business Services organizations across the firm.
The Analyst will analyze and understand business requirements, identify potential solutions, develop actionable technical specifications, and own project delivery timelines while ensuring smooth communication with colleagues at all levels of the organization. This position also contributes to identifying new opportunities for automation, standardization, and enhanced reporting capabilities that support data-informed decision-making across Finance & Accounting and Firm leadership.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Develops workflow and process automation solutions using tools such as Power Platform
- Contributes to process improvements and knowledge sharing within Finance & Accounting
- Works with the Data Architecture team to assist with developing scalable, reliable data pipelines and workflow processes to manage the flow of data into, out of, and between systems
- Identifies appropriate data sources and how they interact with others, assists with proposing logical data models, and ensures adherence to governance and quality standards.
- Works with internal business stakeholders to scope, design, and deploy process solutions that meet real-world needs and automate existing workflows
- Documents existing processes and workflows, and recommends areas for improvement, which may include requirements definitions, mock-ups, wireframes, and data mapping
- Advises team and Finance & Accounting leadership on ways to leverage technology solutions to support strategic decision-making, improve operations, and be more efficient and accurate
- Participates in the evaluation of new process and workflow management applications deemed to be appropriate for the Global Financial Technology & Strategy team
- Manages backlog of enhancement requests, defects, and optimization opportunities
- Tracks and reports issues and risks, escalating as needed to senior team members
- Fosters strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and shared knowledge across Finance & Accounting and Technology teams
Project Support & Integration:
- Supports business and functional requirements gathering for the Global Financial Technology & Strategy team's projects
- Helps ensure alignment between project goals and business requirements
- Monitors timelines, deliverables, and dependencies in coordination with project team leads
- Maintain project status documentation and provide regular updates to the Assistant Director: Global Financial Technology & Strategy and other project stakeholders
- Creates process maps, use cases, user stories, and other project documentation
- Provides subject matter expertise on workflow automation and business process management platforms during software evaluations and vendor engagements
- Assists in system transitions, migrations, and training of end-users as needed
Qualifications
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree or certifications a plus)
- 3–5 years of experience in a process analyst, financial analyst or a project coordination role, preferably within the legal or professional services industry
- Experience developing and deploying workflow automation solutions using platforms such as Power Platform required
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Databricks, Tableau) and their development lifecycle required
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite required
- Strong understanding of financial processes and data structures (experience with Aderant or legal practice management systems is a plus)
- Knowledge of financial operations or the economic model of how a large international law firm functions is preferred
- Experience working with multiple organizational data sources required
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to balance short-term execution with long-term vision
- Proactive, organized, and collaborative team player with a problem-solving mindset

Physical Requirements:
- May require travel to other offices as needed
The typical pay scale for this position is between $98,000 and $130,000, although the actual wage or salary could be lower or higher if the candidate’s education, experience, skills and internal pay alignment are different from those specified.
