Job Description: This individual will be responsible for pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, operation, and service of DAS Food Automation Equipment (example: Toridas and Yieldas Poultry Deboning Equipment, and Hamdas and Wandas Pork Deboning Equipment, etc.)
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Lead the pre-commissioning, commissioning, troubleshooting, diagnostic, repair and maintenance of DAS Food Automation equipment.
- Ensure equipment is operating at its full operational efficiency (i.e. maximum yield).
- Identify problematic production areas in-line with Mayekawa equipment to improve yield.
- Explain to customers the importance of proper and regular maintenance of equipment.
- Train customers in the proper operation of equipment including HMI and OEM adjustments.
- Train customers in the proper cleaning and sanitation procedures of equipment.
- Assist customers with both on-site and remote (via telephone, emails, etc.) technical assistance.
- Promote company services and offerings to customers and generate return service opportunities.
- Create, update, and track detailed commissioning and work order reports in a timely manner.
- Focus on proper documentation and communication to support different facets of the company.
- Maintain cleanliness and organizing of customer and company equipment while on location.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of industrial food processing equipment and environments.
- Electrical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with HMIs and PLCs is highly desirable.
- Proficient in reading service manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Skilled in automation and electro-mechanical systems.

Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance and service experience in a relevant field.
- Over 5 years of experience with capital-intensive food processing equipment in the protein industry.
- Completion of a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 45 pounds.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical systems.
- Frequent work in high-noise environments.
