What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Host position at Maydoon Restaurant?
We’re looking for a friendly, polished Guest Host to join our team and be the first impression for our guests. If you have restaurant experience and know how to create a warm, organized, and welcoming environment, we’d love to meet you.
This role is key to the flow of the restaurant—working closely with servers and the kitchen to ensure every guest has a seamless, high-quality dining experience.
Pay: $16.90/hour tips
What You’ll Do:
- Greet guests warmly and manage seating and reservations
- Guide guests through their arrival experience, including menus and initial service
- Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries
- Support service by checking in with guests and refilling water as needed
- Communicate guest needs and feedback to the team
- Assist with light front-of-house prep and side work
- Help maintain a clean, organized dining room (including bussing when needed)
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous restaurant or host experience preferred
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Calm, professional presence in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in where needed
- Ability to stand for long periods and stay active throughout shifts
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
