Position: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

Maybridge Development LLC is preparing to provide program and project management services to the USDA Forest Service in support of Hurricane Helene recovery efforts across the National Forests in North Carolina.

We are hiring Engineering Technicians who want to do meaningful work that leaves a lasting impact. In this role, you'll maintain and enhance the program-manager visual reporting tool and USDA Forest Service records of record—turning field and damage-assessment data into prioritized needs lists, graphical products, and clean, well-organized records across resource disciplines.

Working alongside Program Managers, USDA Forest Service personnel, and partner agencies, you'll help ensure that recovery accomplishments are accurately documented and clearly presented so projects can be prioritized and delivered. If you enjoy working with data, producing clear technical products, and being part of something bigger than yourself, this is an opportunity to make a real difference.

As a Federal Disaster Recovery Engineering Technician, you'll synthesize technical data, generate reports and graphical products, and maintain federal records to support the recovery of forests and infrastructure affected by Hurricane Helene.

Key Responsibilities

●      Synthesize field-assessment and damage data into prioritized needs lists and graphical information.

●      Generate graphical representations, technical reports, and proposed-action documents across resource disciplines (hydrology, silviculture, timber, fire, fuels, wildlife, aquatic biology, and botany).

●      Maintain and enhance the program-manager visual reporting tool and USDA Forest Service records of record.

●      Organize and maintain resource records and ensure accomplishments are documented in USDA Forest Service databases of record.

●      Support multi-scale and multi-resource examinations and prepare presentation materials for planning.

●      Coordinate with Program Managers, USDA Forest Service staff, and partner agencies to support successful project delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

●      Associate's degree or higher in Engineering Technology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and technical experience.

●      Minimum of three (3) years of technical support experience in engineering or natural-resource management.

●      Strong Excel skills (advanced, multi-spreadsheet) with demonstrated ability in data synthesis and analysis.

●      Knowledge of project performance tracking, key performance indicators, and milestone reporting.

●      Understanding of natural resource management disciplines (hydrology, silviculture, timber, fire, fuels, wildlife, aquatic biology, and botany).

●      Ability to produce technical reports and maps.

●      Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related reporting software.

●      U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Tier 1 or Tier 2 Background Investigation.

●      Ability to attend meetings in Asheville and travel throughout Western North Carolina as needed.

●      A licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is NOT required.

Preferred Qualifications

●      Experience with GIS, ArcGIS, or Survey123.

●      Data-visualization or technical-reporting certification.

●      Familiarity with USDA Forest Service databases of record.

●      Experience supporting the USDA Forest Service or another federal land management agency.

●      Experience with disaster recovery programs or other federally funded recovery initiatives.

●      Residency in Western North Carolina is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $65,000–$70,000, based on experience and GIS/data-visualization depth. Placement within the salary range will be based on qualifications and demonstrated success in technical data synthesis and reporting.

This position is remote-eligible, with travel to field offices as required for curation tasks. Business mileage reimbursement is provided only for approved travel.

Benefits include:

●      Health insurance

●      Paid Time Off (PTO)

●      Eleven (11) paid Federal holidays

●      Mileage reimbursement
