Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector
Location: Meriden, CT
Pay: 25$– 30$/Hourly
Position Overview:
The company is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to oversee the quality of incoming and outgoing aviation parts, as well as production procedures. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience with hand inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies, ensuring dimensional accuracy within tight tolerances. A thorough understanding of manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and the ability to generate detailed inspection reports are essential. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, reliable, and committed to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and understand blueprints and instructions to meet product quality expectations. Use hand tools and inspection equipment to accurately inspect helicopter spare parts in a timely manner.
Approve or reject materials based on quality standards and document supplier performance.
Select and test parts using appropriate methods, including measuring dimensions, testing functionality, and comparing to specifications.
Maintain comprehensive records of tests, data, and various quality metrics.
Prepare and submit detailed reports and documentation as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a quality inspector in the aerospace industry or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
Dependable, responsible, and trustworthy.
Familiarity with quality testing equipment and quality assurance systems.
In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Zeiss Calypso CMM programming is a plus.
Experience in the Aerospace industry is highly preferred.
Job Details:
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime is available and encouraged.
Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. Candidates will be subject to pre employment competency assessments, drug screening, and background checks.
Software and Training:
The company utilizes an ERP system in addition to the Microsoft Office Suite. Training on the ERP system will be provided. Experience with DISCUS software is a plus.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
