Position Overview
MAY Management Services is seeking an experienced and strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support leaders and employees across its community association management operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to field and corporate leadership, providing hands-on HR guidance while aligning people practices with business objectives.
The HR Business Partner will play a critical role in employee relations, performance management, compliance, and talent strategy, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges within HOA/COA and property management environments.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Serve as a primary HR point of contact for assigned business units and leadership teams.
- Partner with leadership to align workforce planning, performance management, and talent strategies with operational goals.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance issues, and corrective action.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
- Support leaders with onboarding, engagement, retention, and succession planning efforts.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and multi-state regulations.
- Partner with leadership to mitigate risk and ensure documentation and processes are compliant and consistent.
- Assist with audits, unemployment claims, and regulatory reporting as needed.
Talent & Organizational Support
- Support recruiting and hiring initiatives in collaboration with the Talent team.
- Assist with compensation planning, job evaluations, and market benchmarking.
- Support organizational changes, restructures, and business transitions.
HR Operations & Collaboration
- Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, and HRIS teams to ensure smooth execution of HR processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

Support training initiatives, leadership development, and company-wide HR programs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner or Generalist experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting multi-site or field-based operations preferred.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Property management, HOA/COA, or real estate industry experience preferred.
Work Environment
- Hybrid role with two required onsite days per week at the Ponte Vedra Beach office.
- Occasional travel to regional offices or communities may be required.
