Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Used Car Service Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our dealership’s quality and safety standards prior to sale. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections on used vehicles (mechanical, electrical, and safety components)
- Diagnose issues and complete necessary repairs in a timely manner
- Conduct routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires, fluid services, etc.)
- Complete reconditioning work to prepare vehicles for retail sale
- Accurately document inspections, findings, and repairs
- Communicate repair needs with service advisors and management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous automotive technician experience required (used car or reconditioning experience preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Own tools required
- ASE certification preferred but not required
