Role Overview
As a Licensed Architect, you will lead the design and development of commercial projects from schematic design through construction documents. You’ll translate client needs into strategic architectural solutions that meet code, brand standards, and business goals. You will work closely with internal teams, engineers, consultants, and developers to ensure smooth execution and stakeholder alignment.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze
client goals, site conditions, and zoning/code requirements to inform design decisions. - Design
thoughtful, innovative commercial environments with a focus on function, flow, and form. - Develop
full drawing sets including SD, DD, and CD phases — leveraging Revit, AutoCAD, and rendering tools. - Lead
consultant coordination, ensuring technical documentation aligns with design intent and code. - Optimize
workflows across the design process to improve project delivery timelines. - Review and redline
junior staff work for quality, accuracy, and constructability. - Recommend
value-engineered design solutions that balance cost, schedule, and aesthetics. - Benchmark
against industry trends to bring fresh thinking into every project.
What You’ll Bring
- Active Architectural License (U.S.)
- 5 years of experience in commercial architecture — ideally including restaurants, retail, or industrial
- Expert in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling/rendering tools
(e.g., Enscape, SketchUp, Lumion) - Strong knowledge of IBC, ADA, and Texas building codes
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex projects from concept to permit
- Excellent communication, consultant coordination, and documentation skills
- A portfolio that shows both technical depth and design vision
