CNC Press Brake Operator

We are looking for a CNC Press Brake Operator to add to our team. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour. Applicants must be detail oriented and able to convert fractions to decimals, measure angles correctly and adhere to customer specifications.

Mandatory overtime, including weekends may occur as production requires. The overtime may include weekends depending upon customer demand. The regular schedule is Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, unless working overtime. The job does require continual lifting, including overhead, all day. JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Department: Production

Reports To: Team Leader and/or Production Manager/Supervisor

Status: Full Time; Non-exempt

Shift: First

Summary: Operates press brake machines and supports the production team by producing a variety of parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the customer’s engineered blueprints.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Selects proper punches and dies based on material thickness and type.

· Set up tooling, load programs, and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.

· Determine if tooling is undamaged and in safe condition for use.

· Work in fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities.

· Able to distinguish material types including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel; including gauge of material.

· Capable of reading a tape measure and protractor.

· Read, understand and implement blueprints.

· Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

· Communicates with Quality and other management as needed.

· Refer to and follow work instructions.

· Attend production meetings and follow production schedule.

· Other duties may be assigned.

Education: Prefer high school diploma or equivalent.

Language: Ability to read, write, and comprehend work instructions and other applicable correspondence.

Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Physical Demands: Regular use of hands to touch, hold, or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms (including overhead); stoop, kneel, and/or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Meet the standards of the company physical. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is offered for your use.
