Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly
• Provide engaging product demonstrations to inform customers about features and benefits
• Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to enhance their shopping experience
• Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end
• Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure attractive displays and easy access for shoppers
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays and ensuring store presentation aligns with brand standards
• Conduct product demos and answer customer questions confidently, fostering a welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments, is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is essential
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for team support roles
• Knowledge of retail math, basic math skills, and cash handling procedures are required for accurate transactions
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to perform stocking duties and assist with merchandising efforts effectively
• Experience with grocery store operations or retail store product knowledge is beneficial
• Strong phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
