Maxus Properties is seeking to hire a full-time Lead Maintenance Technician for Thrive Argenta Apartments in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Maxus Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the overall maintenance of our communities.
Scope and Purpose:
Under the direction of the Property Manager and Regional Maintenance Supervisor, Maxus Lead Maintenance Technicians oversee community maintenance, managing financial aspects and ensuring projects meet budget, quality, and safety standards. They lead and mentor skilled technicians, conduct regular inspections to preempt issues, and maintain property conditions. By promoting continuous improvement and collaboration, they enhance residents' living experiences, ensuring communities are welcoming, safe, and well-maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and participate in all maintenance projects in all appropriate categories: electrical, lighting, carpentry, plumbing,
- and HVAC.
- Coordinate, schedule, and respond to service requests for occupied and vacant apartments, as well as common areas.
- Monitor incoming service requests and establish scheduling priorities through the cycle to completion.
- Prepare units for move-in by inspecting, scheduling contract work, and performing upgrades/repairs.
- Recruit, hire, and train maintenance team members. Schedule regular and on-call shifts. Monitor members’ training courses for compliance.
- Control maintenance materials by assessing and purchasing supplies/scheduling services within budget constraints.
- Assist the Property Manager in scheduling and performing apartment and safety inspections.
- Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, apartment refurbishing, roof leaks, refrigerant logs, snow logs, MSDS sheets, and equipment.
- Identify and correct hazardous community conditions.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A current drivers license is required.
- Two years of facility or property maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory role, is required.
- EPA certification is required.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing and commitment to all Fair Housing regulations are required.
- Candidates must receive a passing score on an in-house maintenance exam to be further considered
