Our Opportunity
Immediate opening for a Construction Estimator. The Construction Estimator will assist in the preparation of budgets for multifamily, commercial and residential construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimation/take off of square footage for multi family developments for a specialty concrete subcontractor (Gyp-Crete and exterior pump mix).
- Download digital plans and perform take off of square footage of items within our scope. Enter into estimating software and provide bid proposal.
- Communicate via email and phone with contractors, PM, estimators and architects as needed in order to acquire correct information in order to provide a accurate take off and bid proposal.
- Ability to multitask and work with critical time restraints to provide bids before deadline.
- Work with sales staff on bid process.
- Coordinate Material and Labor takeoffs in Estimating database
Ideal candidate should have:
- 1 - 3 years experience
- College Degree a plus
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Computer Aided Design, Blueprint reading
- Working knowledge of Planswift a plus
- Enjoy working independently and multitasking in a deadline-oriented department
- Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills necessary.
