Max’s Oyster Bar, located in the heart of West Hartford Center, is seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Busser with open availability to support our front-of-house service team. Responsibilities:

• Promptly clear and reset tables to ensure quick turn times and guest readiness

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service areas

• Assist servers with water service, bread, and guest requests as needed

• Prepare tables for large parties and support pre- and post-shift dining room setup

• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service

• Deliver on Max’s Oyster Bar’s reputation for thoughtful, polished hospitality

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Busser, Food Runner, or in a similar support role preferred

• Familiarity with upscale or high-volume restaurant environments a plus

• Understanding of dining room flow and basic service standards

Skills and Qualities:

• Energetic, courteous, and highly attentive to guest needs

• Ability to stay organized and composed during busy service periods

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Focus on cleanliness and efficiency

• Professional appearance and attitude

• Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
