Drafter/Designer 4

Maxonic maintains a close and long-term relationship with our direct client. In support of their needs, we are looking for a Drafter/Designer 4.

Job Description:

Job Title: Drafter/Designer 4

Job Type: Contract                                      

Job Location: Milpitas, CA

Work Schedule: On-site

Pay Rate: $37, Based on experience

Description:

• Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering.
• Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product.
• Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards.
• Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation.
• May work with system management including file maintenance, backup and storage.
• Typically requires a minimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Provide drafting support to mechanical design engineers
• Create detailed drawings in SolidWorks reflecting engineering design intent
• Add dimensions, GD&T, and technical notes
• Generate exploded views at the assembly level
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Support documentation processes, including ECO (Engineering Change Orders)
• Primarily support new product development, with some updates to existing designs
