Job Description:
Job Title: Assembler
Location- Onsite, Totowa, NJ
Shift 2: 4:30 PM - 12:30 AM and 5 pm to 1:30 am est.
Introduction: We are looking for a motivated Electrical Sub-Assembler to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for assisting in the assembly of electrical subassemblies for various equipment and systems. You will work closely with senior assemblers and engineers to ensure components are assembled accurately and meet company quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
• Electrical Subassembly: Assemble electrical subassemblies, including wiring, connectors, circuit boards, and components, following detailed engineering diagrams and specifications.
• Component Integration: Install electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, transformers, and switches into enclosures or onto circuit boards, ensuring correct alignment and fit.
• Soldering and Wiring: Perform basic soldering and wiring of components, ensuring proper connections, insulation, and safety standards.
• Testing and Inspection: Assist with the testing of electrical subassemblies, including basic continuity tests, voltage checks, and ensuring components are operating as intended.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect assembled electrical components for defects, proper assembly, and adherence to specifications. Report any issues to senior team members or engineers for resolution.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assemblies, including parts used, assembly steps, and test results, ensuring traceability and compliance with quality standards.
• Tool Operation: Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment (e.g., soldering irons, crimping tools, multimeters) for electrical assembly tasks.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when working with electrical components, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
• Collaboration: Work as part of a team to meet production goals and timelines. Communicate effectively with colleagues and senior assemblers to ensure efficient assembly processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical components and assembly techniques.
• Experience with or willingness to learn basic soldering, wiring, and electrical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work with small components.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or related fields.
