- A lot of it will be working with next-generation sequencing, running some pipelines to bring the data in-house, running some preliminary analyses to identify gene expression. There may also be some work involved in web application development, though that's going to be more of a minor role.
- Ideally, we'd have someone who also has familiarity with single-cell analyses as well, and then truly ideal would be to have spatial data as well.
- We want someone who has Python or R. Maybe it's possible that they have a Shiny experience, pipelining experience, things like Nextflow. One of the wish list things that, again, it's not required, it's just desired is experience applying, not necessarily generating new, but large language model approaches to data analysis.
- Fluency in data visualization methods like R shiny - is that the most important and critical part of the job role? - No, it would be more of a second tier level of experience. Just ways of visualizing data is nice. Experience with Shiny is nice. Not required,
- Would you consider someone with a master's degree and academic experience? –Yes but preference will be given with Pharma company experience.
- Someone who's done a lot of NGS work, particularly with pipelines and developing, running the next flow and pipelines, and if they had some of these more advanced skills like single cell or spatial or LLMs, those would stand out, if they had those first skills to begin with, because that'll be the major part of the duties is doing some of supporting us with bringing in expression sets and running some simple analyses in that.
