What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wedding Videographer position at Maxine Weddings?
We're looking for a professional videographer, located in or near Albany, New York, with wedding experience.
Job Requirements:
- Must have your own gear/equipment.
- Must speak English
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to different locations, as required.
- Must have proven experience with weddings and provide an impressive portfolio.
- Must be proficient in using professional video equipment during the entire event's duration.
- Must have excellent communication. (with employer, clients, venue, staff, and coworkers)
- Have professional high-end videography cameras and equipment, including professional lenses, multiple batteries and other accessories.
- Must have a form of camera stabilization (ex. Gimbal / Monopod)
- Must be able to shoot in higher frame rates (60fps/120fps)
- Must be able to record well-balanced crystal clear audio (ex. Ceremony & Toasts/Reception), effectively capturing all speakers' dialogue, music and significant SFX using external recorders, lav microphones, and wireless mic systems (such as Zoom H6, Tascam DR-10L, Rode Wireless Go, etc).
- Must have high speed internet and available file-sharing storage for video footage to download remotely.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Must be punctual. Show up on time and plan ahead.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be warm, inviting and a pleasure to be around during the event.
- Must enjoy working with other people, especially the couple and their friends/family.
- Must produce high quality content consistently.
- Must have enjoyment in your craft.
- No video editing required. Shooting only. We handle video post-production.
- Bonus: Having a 4K drone.
- Bonus: Ability to work as a 2nd shooter or knowing an available one.
Wedding shoots typically range anywhere from 4-10 hours.
No training or equipment will be provided. You must have your own gear and skills experience using them.
