Whether you’re driving a commercial vehicle, assembling products, or helping with load and unload tasks, your contribution ensures customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as box truck, to deliver cargo to residential or commercial locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading products.
- Install and set up equipment or products at customer sites following provided guidelines and safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly with customers to confirm delivery details and address any questions or concerns professionally.
- Communicate with Customer Service.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records throughout each shift.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while navigating routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customer locations and verify order accuracy.
- Products that are delivered include furniture, appliances, mattresses and exercise equipment to name a few.
- Many of these retailers offer their customers in home assembly (white glove delivery).
- Delivery teams should be mechanically inclined and able to do light assembly using basic hand tools.
- Deliveries include room of choice and may include the garage, basement, upstairs, and patio.
- Two person delivery teams are required on all routes.
- Deliveries are physically demanding and require two capable individuals to ensure a successful delivery.
- Items can be large and bulky at times .
- Assemble and install merchandise such as furniture, grills, fitness equipment, shelving, appliances, or outdoor structures.
- Perform installations following manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures
- Use hand and power tools properly and safely
- Communicate professionally with customers, explaining product features and care instructions.
- Inspect products for damage before and after installation
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor installation issues on site
- Maintain clean and organized work areas at customer locations
- Complete required documentation, photos, or digital reports
- Adhere to Company service standards, timelines, and quality expectations
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or route driving within a commercial vehicle environment.
- Familiarity with loading/unloading products.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact professionally with customers.
- Ability to operate a commercial vehicles such a box truck.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to product handling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in assembly, installation, or handyman work preferred not required.
- Fast and willing learner
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 300 lbs with assistance
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Most deliveries require some type of installation. A suggested list of tools and supplies is below. You may need additional items that are not included or have other items that you prefer using.
- Cordless Drill (14 volt or higher)

- #2 Phillips Screwdriver - long and short
- Standard & Phillips(head screw drivers)
- 6-foot tape measure
- 16 ounce hammer
- Tool bag
- Box cutter
- Center punch (for door hinge pin removal)
- Flash light
Work Schedule
- Flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
