Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a PLC Controls Engineer located in Milwaukee, WI. The PLC Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related automation systems. Daily tasks include developing control strategies, implementing motion control and robotics solutions, diagnosing and resolving system issues, and collaborating with the engineering team to optimize processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Process Control and Electrical Engineering fundamentals
- Skills in Troubleshooting and diagnosing automation systems
- Experience with Motion Control and Robotics systems
- Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in PLC systems
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards applicable to automation systems
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus

* Travel across U.S. for on-site support

* 3 years hands-on with Allen Bradley PLCs (RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, CCW)
* Strong experience with Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal, S7, SIMATIC)
* Ignition SCADA experience (mandatory)
