Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in mechanical product design, machine design, and manufacturing engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, assemblies, and design solutions for automotive components, industrial equipment, machinery, and manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, machines, and equipment based on engineering requirements.
- Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Develop detailed drawings with appropriate GD&T, tolerances, dimensions, and material specifications.
- Perform basic mechanical calculations, tolerance analysis, and design validation.
- Work closely with manufacturing, quality, electrical, controls, and engineering teams to ensure designs are production-ready.
- Design components considering DFM/DFA, manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and cost.
- Review existing designs and identify opportunities for cost reduction, performance improvement, and design optimization.
- Support prototype development, testing, validation, and production launch.
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, engineering specifications, and design documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, root-cause analysis, and engineering change activities.
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, company specifications, and safety requirements.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Mechanical Design and Product Development.
- Proficiency in one or more CAD tools:
- SolidWorks
- CATIA V5
- Creo/Pro-E
- Siemens NX
- AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of:

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 per week
