Position Overview:
We are seeking a warm, dedicated, and enthusiastic Infant Room Teacher to join our team. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. This role focuses on fostering early developmental milestones, building trusting relationships with families, and contributing to a positive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum aligned with NAEYC Standards and Nebraska Core Competencies.
- Provide attentive care, ensuring safety, hygiene, and well-being during feeding, diapering, and nap routines.
- Maintain constant supervision and a secure classroom environment.
- Encourage emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development through interactive play and exploration.
- Build strong, communicative relationships with parents and provide daily updates on their child's activities and progress.
- Keep accurate records to track each child's development and milestones.
- Collaborate with other staff members and participate in team meetings and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. (PERFERRED)
- Proven experience planning and developing curricula for infants.
- Prior experience teaching children.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Able to attend meetings during evenings, as needed.
- A keen interest in early child
Personal Qualities:
- Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children
- Must have warm, supportive attitude toward children
- Must be reliable
- Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in program
- Must be willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance
- Strong professional parent communication skills
- Must LOVE to work with children
- Ability to lift at least 35lbs
