Job Overview
Maximum Healthcare of Pikeville is looking to hire several PRN (as needed) LPNs!
At this time, our LPNs provide essential nursing care to TWO residents under the supervision of registered nurses and the Medical Director. Your expertise will contribute to the overall health and well-being of our residents, ensuring they receive high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and assist in developing resident care plans.
- Catheterize residents as needed, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Provide urgent care for residents with immediate health concerns, including suturing minor wounds.
- Assist with pain management strategies to enhance resident comfort during treatment.
- Maintain accurate resident records using PointClickCare and other medical office software.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive resident care.
- Educate residents and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Lift and transport residents safely when necessary, adhering to proper lifting techniques.
Skills
- Strong diagnostic evaluation skills to assess residents needs effectively.
- Experience in long-term care settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
