About the Role: Supply Chain Specialist / Coordinator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist to manage and oversee the daily operations of logistics, procurement, and inventory management. In this role, you will act as the vital link between vendors, production teams, and distribution networks, ensuring that all processes are conducted with maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to strict industry standards and safety regulations.
Core Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Coordinate daily supply chain activities, including vendor selection, procurement, inventory tracking, and logistics planning.
- Compliance & Standards: Maintain comprehensive records and ensure all procurement and shipping activities align with corporate policies, international trade laws, and SOPs.
- Data Integrity: Perform accurate data entry into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and ensure inventory accuracy and forecasting data are meticulously maintained.
- Risk Mitigation: Monitor lead times and supply disruptions, reporting significant delays or quality issues promptly to management and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Author and maintain supply chain documentation and assist in internal and external audits to ensure ISO and lean manufacturing requirements are met.
- Site Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external suppliers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Required).
- Experience: 0–5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or manufacturing environments.
- Technical Skills (Required):
- Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and inventory management.
- Proficiency in ERP platforms (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Familiarity with global shipping regulations and documentation.
- Excellent analytical and medical/technical reporting skills.
- Preferred Skills:
- Certification (or eligibility) for CPIM or CSCP (APICS).
- Experience with medical device or pharmaceutical supply chains (GxP environment).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau).
