Role: DevOps Engineer (Java-focused)
Location: Richfield, MN (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite, local candidates ONLY)
Duration: Contract (through end of September, potential extension)
Core / Master Skill:
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (must-have, non-negotiable)
Please note: Java technical interviews will be part of the process.
Must have: Kubernetes, Helm Charts, AWS, API Security
Nice to have: GitOps, IaC, Observability, API Gateway
Must Have Skills:
Kubernetes (5 years)
current DevOps experience (terraform)
Helm Charts (4 years)
AWS (5 years)
Java / Spring Boot (5 years)
API Security

GitOps / CI-CD (GitHub Actions)
Infrastructure as Code ( CloudFormation)
Observability tools
API Gateway experience
Role Overview:
This is a DevOps-heavy role within an enterprise API platform team, but the candidate must also have a solid Java development background (roughly 50/50 DevOps Development). The engineer will be responsible for building, deploying, and supporting platform services with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and security.
The team works in a pair programming environment, so strong communication and hands-on experience are key.
