IT Administrator – On Site (Westbury, NY)

About the Role
Maxima Apparel is seeking a skilled and reliable IT Administrator to manage the day to day technical operations of our Westbury office. This role is hands on and highly impactful, supporting a busy apparel organization with a mix of Windows, macOS, and Linux based systems. You will be responsible for end user support, server and network operations, hardware maintenance, and office technology management. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys variety and problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
End User Support
- Provide daily onsite support for employees using Windows and macOS systems
- Troubleshoot operating system, application, hardware, and peripheral issues
- Assist users with general IT needs, including account access, software installation, and workstation setup
Equipment Management
- Provision, configure, and deploy new employee equipment
- Perform ongoing maintenance, cleaning, and hardware upgrades for laptops, desktops, and accessories
- Support desk moves, office equipment relocations, and workspace setup
Office IT, Printers, and Network Support
- Support office wide IT needs including printers, scanners, conference room tech, and shared equipment
- Troubleshoot basic network, WiFi, and connectivity issues
- Provide support for DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, and general networking functions
Cabling and Infrastructure Work
- Run and terminate network cabling as needed for office expansion, workstation setup, or equipment moves
- Troubleshoot physical cable and connectivity issues
Server Administration
- Manage Windows Server and Ubuntu based systems, including routine maintenance and monitoring
- Perform security updates, hardware upgrades, and troubleshooting for servers
- Monitor system health and respond to alerts or performance issues
Software and Systems
- Support Active Directory and user account processes
- Work with Exchange, SQL, and internal business systems
- Provide assistance to teams using the Adobe Creative Suite
- Use PowerShell or other scripting tools to automate tasks when possible
After Hours Responsibility
- Participate in occasional after hours or weekend support for emergencies, upgrades, or scheduled maintenance projects
Required Qualifications
Technical Requirements
- Strong experience with Windows, macOS, Windows Server, and Ubuntu
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and routing
- Proficiency with hardware diagnostics, repair, and upgrades
- Experience supporting office networks, WiFi access points, switches, and general connectivity
- Ability to run and terminate Ethernet cabling
Preferred Skills
- PowerShell or scripting experience
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL
- Experience supporting Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with server monitoring and infrastructure maintenance

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
