Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide one-on-one private duty nursing care for pediatric and adult patients throughout Orange County. We are actively recruiting nurses with tracheostomy and ventilator experience, and pediatric experience is highly preferred.
We have multiple cases available with flexible scheduling, including:
- Days
- Afternoons
- Overnights
- Weekends
- Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients with tracheostomies, ventilators, feeding tubes, and other specialized medical needs.
- Monitor and document patient status, identifying changes in physical or psychosocial condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and care plans.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
Qualifications
- Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
- Current TB/PPD clearance.
- Minimum one year of nursing experience preferred.
- Pediatric home care experience is a plus.
- Trach and ventilator experience is required. Candidates interested in caring for tracheostomy and ventilator-dependent patients must successfully complete a Trach and Vent Skills Assessment administered by an RN Clinical Supervisor. Clearance is required prior to assignment with high-acuity patients.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently in a home care environment.
