Employee Relations Advisor
Location: Columbia, Maryland (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $50,000 – $68,000 annually $4,000 Annual Bonus Potential

Maxim Healthcare Corporate Services is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to provide HR support in employee relations, wage and hour compliance, policies, performance management, and other areas as directed. This role partners with corporate and branch teams to deliver effective solutions while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound employee relations inquiries and assist with hotline monitoring
- Track and record employee relations issues using case management software
- Analyze and recommend solutions for employee relations matters across regions
- Review HR policies and recommend process improvements
- Provide guidance on corrective actions and termination decisions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Conduct investigations into grievances, harassment, discrimination, and civil rights complaints
- Assist Legal and Compliance teams with EEOC responses and compliance investigations
- Facilitate corporate training sessions for branch teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of HR experience in a multi-state organization (healthcare preferred)
- Familiarity with HRIS and case management software a plus
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to coach employees and managers through complex issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
- Fluency in English required
