Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) – Entry Level – Paid Training
Hourly Pay: $24-28
Hours: Afternoon/evening; part-time

What You’ll Do
- Support the health, wellness, and safety of the child
- Encourage and assist with goals related to daily living skills (healthy habits, personal care, independence)
- Help children build safe and appropriate peer and adult relationships
- Teach skills that improve self-awareness, social awareness, and community integration
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of progress and behaviors
- Implement behavior support strategies as outlined in the treatment plan
- Report suspected abuse or neglect promptly and appropriately
- Use evidence-based techniques such as prompting, modeling, instruction, and reinforcement
- Provide transportation as needed for appointments and community activities
- Encourage communication, decision-making, confidence, and access to needed services
What You Need
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- English proficiency
- Current CPR card
- Current health screening (per state requirements)
- Ability to complete the Maine BHP Certificate within 1 year of hire (Maxim provides paid training)
