Job Overview
The Vice President of Strategic Operations is responsible for ensuring that the company's operational execution is aligned with its long-term strategic goals. This role oversees enterprise-wide operational planning, performance management, and process optimization to ensure efficient, scalable, and sustainable business operations. The Vice President of Strategic Operations works closely with the senior management team to translate strategy into operational priorities and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of an enterprise-level operational strategy aligned with company objectives.
Oversee operational planning, performance management, and execution across business units and functions.
Drive operational excellence initiatives, including process optimization, cost management, and productivity improvements.
Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and strategic progress.
Work with the senior management team to ensure strategic objectives are aligned with day-to-day operations.
Support large-scale transformation initiatives, including organizational change, system implementation, and process reengineering.
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure business continuity and resilience.
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
Prepare and deliver operational performance reports and strategic updates to the senior management team and the board of directors.
Build, develop, and lead high-performing operations and project management teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred
12 years of experience in operations management, strategic operations, or corporate project leadership
Experience managing complex, cross-functional operations in large or multi-entity organizations
Strong analytical, operational, and financial capabilities
Ability to translate strategy into actionable operational plans
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in regulated or operations-intensive industries preferred
